WWW Wednesday | 9th February 2022

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a good Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is a meme that is now hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words.

The three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I skipped this last week as nothing had changed in my reading so I would’ve just been repeating the same thing as the week before. Also, because I think I had a reading block. I just didn’t know what I was in the mood for and was a lot of stopping and starting with books. This week I’m happy to say there has been some progress.

What Are You Currently Reading?

I am still only at the beginning of My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows. Even though I’m enjoying it I’m always slower to make progress in a book, especially in the beginning, if I don’t have an audiobook to accompany it. On the other hand, I’ve started To Sir With Love by E.R. Braithwaite. I love the movie so I’ve been liking the experience of reading it to as it was originally a book. I’ve been liking how similar it is and pretty much word for word. There are some descriptions that I’m a bit…..hmm…about, especially when it involves females but in general has been a good read so far hopefully it continues like that.

What Did You Recently Finish Reading?

Over the weekend I listened to the audiobook Soft Magic by Upile Chisala. It’s a short, debut poetry book that focuses on loving yourself, embracing yourself, being black, femininity and healing. It was a quick audiobook, the book being 128 pages. I just casually listened to it as I was cleaning my room.

The plan right now is to pick up another one of my library books as I borrowed a couple graphic novels along with another book. Or Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend as it was a part of my TBR last month but didn’t get around to reading it.

Hope everyone had a good reading week!

Until next time…

xx
