WWW Wednesday | 26th January 2022

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well 🙂

WWW Wednesday is a meme that is now hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words.

The three W’s are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What Are You Currently Reading?

I’m currently reading My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows. I’m only under 50 pages but so happy to have finally started it. My favourite book in the Lady Janie series was My Lady Jane and as this has a similar vibe, with animal shapeshifting magic and being set in a royal court, I feel like I’ll love this one as well. The first in the Mary series is about Mary Queen of Scot.

What Did You Recently Finish Reading?

In the past week I’m happy to say I’ve finally finished reading Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. I ended up giving four stars , didn’t love it as much as the first book but still good.

The second book I finished was called Wire and Nerve by Marissa Meyer. It’s a graphic novel set in the Lunar Chronicles series starting straight away after the last book finishes. This story primarily focuses on Iko (Cinder’s best friend) as a hunter against the wolf-hybrid soldiers that have gone rogue. All the beloved characters throughout the series are present and is so great when wanting to dip back into this world.

I have a few options but I guess it really depend on the readathon I choose to participate in February. I have two library books I’ve recently borrowed so it’d be good to pick up one of them. My library picks are To Sir, With Love by E.R Braithwaite and Off the Record by Camryn Garrett. Hopefully I’ll find some prompts that will work well for them.

Hope you all had a good reading week!

Until next time…
