Hey everyone! How are you today?
It’s been some time since I’ve done a tag and now I finished my last Uni exam for the year! So I hope now I have a lot more free time to focus on the blog (I know I’ve said that in every blog post since October but this time I hope it’s true!). Plus, it’s coming up to December so I hope to write some Christmassy blog posts!

My equivalent to a fun night out:
Pre-drinks | A prequel/novella you’ve read
- Becoming the Dark Prince by Kerri Maniscalco
This novella comes after the third book in the series, Escaping From Houdini, and is in Thomas’ POV and it does take place afterwards and shows what happens before the start of the last book. It was interesting to just see it from Thomas’ POV.
The Taxi to Town | A book about travel
- Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
Read this throughout October which was fun and so happy to finally read an Agatha Christie again. Another mystery of hers that I read involving travel was And Then There Were None. That one was a re-read and is the one that started my love for Agatha Christie mysteries.
Trying to Find a Table | A book you didn’t like to start with, but then ended up loving
- The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. It was just, for some reason, I had to get used to the writing style but after a couple of chapters I flew through it and thought this book was great!
First Round of Drinks | A first book in a series
- Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I had never read a Jennifer L. Armentrout book until now and, wow, I rarely finish series but in the month (or slightly over a month) I finished this whole series. As soon as I finished one book I immediately jumped into the next and before I knew it I finished the five books. It gave me Roswell vibes and it was a fun reading experience.
The Dance Floor | A book that makes you want to jump up and down with excitement
Hmmm I would have to say from my most recent books I’ve read it’s the Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco and What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon. I talk about these two books a lot!
The Toilets | A book you wouldn’t touch with a barge pole
- After by Anna Todd
I’ll admit I’ve read some of it when it first ever existed and I just remember feeling angry over the two main characters and annoyed at their behaviour. Normally I have never felt like that when reading but I was just done. Drama after drama.
I don’t really hate books, or just haven’t come across one that I’ve hated but this is the first book that came to my mind.
The First to Bail | The last book you DNF’d
- The Kissing Game by Marie Harte
Yeah I just wasn’t feeling it. I don’t think I even finished the first chapter and haven’t thought of it since so I’m just going to leave it on the abandoned shelf.
The Journey Home | A book you can’t really remember the plot of anymore
- Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut Jr
Look I’ll be honest, I read this for an English class and did an assignment on it and I had no idea what was really going on in this book. This was just a bit out my league and my brain just couldn’t process any of it. So if someone asked me what this story’s about then your guess is as good as mine haha.
The Morning After | A comfort read
- Jenn Bennett books
- My Lady Jane
- Historical romances
Anything light, full of romance and nothing that requires full concentration. That’s a comfort read to me. Above I just write down the first things that came to my mind.
I tag anyone who wants to do this tag! I had fun with it 🙂
Hope you all have a lovely day/afternoon/night!
Until next time…
xx
