Hey everyone! How are you today?
At the beginning of the year I said I was taking part in the year long readathon #StartOnYourShelfathon. It focuses on all your unread books (electronic and physical) and not new releases or brand new books. I chose books that have been on my shelf for about one year+. I was hoping to do an update mid-way through the year so I’m a bit overdue as we only have two months left of the year!
So far these are the books I’ve read…
6 Month Update (by June)
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
- The Diviners by Libba Bray
- Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
- The Dream Thieves by Maggie Steifvater
- Illuminae by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman
- Death Note Vol.2 by Tsugumi Ohba
- The Kingdom of Fantasy by Geronimo Stilton (Elisabetta Dami)
- These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner
10 Month Update
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
- Nemesis by Brendan Reichs
- The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas
- A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor
- Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
Hey not too bad! There are a couple of readathons I’ve had my eye on in November and December so I’ll see if I can work some of my older books in there.
Also, I happily say I have completed a couple of my personal Year Long Reading Goals, which was to finish a couple of series I’ve been in the middle of or just need to finish as I have a habit of abandoning series.
This year I’ve finished the series:
- Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco
- The Falconer series by Elizabeth May – (still have only read the first book)
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han – again only read the first book
- The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – just have the last book to go!
I could possibly finish the Raven Cycle as I have the audiobooks and physical copies. So that’s be nice to cross of another series on the list.
Hope you are have had a lovely day/night!
Until next time…
xx
