What Did You Recently Finish Reading?

• The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
• Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History by Vashti Harrison

I really like both of these books. The Poet X was my first Elizabeth Acevedo and definitely won’t be my last. Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History highlighted so many amazing women and made me intrigued. The stories are quick as it’s a children’s non-fiction book so I wasn’t expecting long biographies but it makes me want to research into them more.

What Are You Currently Reading?

• A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

This week I’ve started A Curse So Dark and Lonely. I’ve been reading this for a handful of days now and only read 36 pages. I think I’ve kind of hit a slump. I’ve been jumping between this book and audiobooks but nothing is fully grabbing my attention at the moment.

What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?

I don’t know as I’ve hit a slump. The plan is after ‘A Curse So Dark and Lonely‘ I want to pick up ‘Nevermoor‘ by Jessica Townsend. I’ll see how this week goes. I guess we’ll see next Wednesday.
