Hello everyone!
First Top 5 Tuesday of 2020! Shannah @ Bionic Book Worm hosts this so make sure to check her blog out!
I’ve been quiet on my blog, sorry about that! I blame Netflix, reading and finding love on making bullet journal spreads on movies and tv shows I’ve become obsessed with. It’s also pretty therapeutic. So if I’m not as active on my blog as I usually am, now you know why. Okay, enough about that. For this post, as I’ve already talked about the books I’m anticipating this year, I thought I’ll show 5 books that I already own and hope to finally read this year.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Originally I was thinking this will be a great October book but I’m probably not going to last that long in waiting. It’s been on my radar for a while as I really like the movie and it’s not a long book.
Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

I have seen this movie over and over again but never read the book. I would love to experience the book version. I’ve heard good things about it.
Escaping from Houdini & Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco
A series I will absolutely finish this year. Still getting through Escaping from Houdini but as I read the first two last year I know I’ll be able to read the last two this year. The atmospheres in each of these books are so nice! I want more Audrey Rose and Thomas.
A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

Another book I’ve been wanting to read for a long time. This year I will read it and the sequel came out early this month. I’m a sucker for a beauty and the beast retelling.
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor

This is the final book in the trilogy and I’ve just downloaded the audiobook. I definitely want to read this in the first half of the year. I enjoyed the audio-book route as it helped me with all the fantasy aspect as I like to read along with it.
What books are in your Top 5 to read this year? Hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for reading 🙂
P.S. – I might also sneakily add P.S I Still Love You and Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han as I’ve yet to read these books but plan to read the second before the movie comes out next month!
Until next time…
xx
I hope you can get to them all! I loved Dreams of gods and monsters and the ending of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series!

I didn’t know there was a book of Howl’s moving castle! 😯 I will have to find it. I LOVE Coraline, the book doesn’t let the movie down. It’s incredible, I hope you get to read it alongside the rest of these books! 😄❤️
