Top 5 (Tuesday)…Books I Didn’t Get To in 2019

Hello everyone! How are you today?

I’ll be honest I kinda forgot about this and it just didn’t register in my mind that today is Tuesday! It feels like this Tuesday came by so fast. Anyway, today’s Top 5 Tuesday hosted by Shannah from Bionic Book Worm is all about the books I didn’t get to in 2019. For me, there is definitely more than five books that I didn’t get too. There will always be books I’ll never get to! There’s so many. Anyway, I managed to narrow down my monstrous list to these five. There’s definitely a theme with these five as they’re all to do with series one way or another.

Finishing the Raven Cycle series

I was hoping to get through majority of this series but have only managed to read the first book and have yet to pick up the second. I was hopeful that I’d start and finish this series this year but for me, who is the slowest to get through series, that was wishful thinking. I will definitely be continuing this series next year.

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

I feel like this year has been all about Holly Black and her The Folk in the Air trilogy. I have yet to jump onto that bandwagon but still have yet to pick up The Cruel Prince. I don’t know why… maybe I’m scared on how this could potentially be an emotional rollercoaster and I’m not ready for it. I feel like I just have to go for it. Pick it up and just start reading.

Anything Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Mass is everywhere and I was hoping to start one of her books this year as I have her Court of Thorns and Roses series as well as her Throne of Glass series. So yeah that was the plan but it’s now all of a sudden December and it hasn’t happened yet.

The Diviners by Libba Bray

This was definitely on my list for a while and now that I’ve bought on the book I was hoping to start reading it but with Uni and my other books planned for readathons I’ve been doing, I just haven’t found a way to work it in yet. It is a big book so I know I would need a good chunk of time for me to read it.

Finishing Stalking Jack the Ripper series

I was so hoping to finish this series by the end of the year but I don’t think I will!! I am still at the beginning of the third book Escaping from Houdini. My goal now is to finish the third book by the end of December. I am so close as after this I just have to read the final book and then the series will be complete. Maybe I’m just trying to stretch out this series as long as I can.
