Book Series: I Need to Finish! | 2019

Hey everyone! How are you?

I guess this post is just a reminder on all the series that I need to finish. Writing this makes me realise how I am horrible at finishing series! I buy them, I start them but I consider it a great accomplishment when I do actually finish a series. One day I will get to all of them.

Alice in Zombieland (White Rabbit Chronicles) by Gena Showalter

I am so close to finishing this series. I have the last book left in the series but something in me just isn’t picking it up. What threw me off was how the first three books are from Alice’s POV but this book seems to focus on one of the other male characters, Frosty. Which is understandable (if you’ve read the series you know why) but it just threw me off.

I did really love this series when reading this and it’s a shame that I stopped with only the last book to go. I just have it on my shelf with the rest of the series, staring at me. This series is definitely one I would like to complete one day.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

I bought the whole trilogy once I saw the movie and fell in live with Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky. I read the first book 4 stars (I think I love the movie more…is that bad?), and just haven’t picked up the other two. They’re sitting on my shelf as I rewatch the film over and over again.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Okay I’ll just say right now, if I ever finish this series I’ll be amazed! I deserve a clap, honestly, as each book is roughly 800 pages (give or take 100). I love the series, loved the first book but just takes a huge chunk of time to read. If I start this I would have to clear time to get through this series and plus there’s 8 books CURRENTLY as the 9th book is being written.

It’s a series I want to continue but will take my time.

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steifvater

I finished the first book last week and now my biggest problem with series is starting the next book. Doesn’t matter if I like the series or not, I always hesitate in opening the next book. This happens to be one of those cases so I know it may be some time until I start this but it’s a series I do wish to continue.

The Dream Thieves focuses on Ronan so it would be an interesting read.

Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Mascalco

Without a doubt, I’ll finish this series. I have begun the second book (Hunting Prince Dracula) but am prioritizing a few other books first that I’ve been reading longer. That way once they’re finished I can focus on the story. Looking forward to the continuation of Audrey Rose and Thomas’s journey. In the first book we were in London, now we’re in Romania!

Harry Potter by J.K Rowling

I have never read the whole series! My first attempt was when I was like 11 or so and I got up to Prisoner of Azkaban. Now, I’ve taken the audiobook route so I can listen to it with my family as well and currently on Prisoner of Azkaban, so I’m back to where I was up to.

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles is a series I’ll certainly finish. I loved the first book (Cinder) and have the next two. I plan on reading Scarlet soon. Marissa Meyer’s writing is just so easy to follow and I enjoy her fairytale twists of the classic tales.

Daughter of Smoke & Bones by Laini Taylor

This is another case where all I have to do is read the last book in the trilogy. Hopefully I’ll get to this by the end of the year. I might go down the audiobook route for this and read-along like I did for the second book. It really helped me get through the book and pick up my reading pace.

Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa

This is a series that I plan on re-reading. I first read this about late primary school/early high school. I remember only small details of this series and it has been on my shelf ever since and since then I’ve bought more books within this series. It has made start to think about the series again and I wonder if I’ll enjoy the series as much as I did when I was younger.

Are there any series that you need to finish?

Thanks for reading!

Until next time…

Xx
