Hi everyone! How are you today?
It’s the third Top 5 Tuesday in September and this week it’s all about the funniest characters. I’m the worst at stuff like this as well as the topic upcoming which will be fall recommendations. It’s like my mind goes blank. I’m already trying to think of recommendations for next week. Pretty much these are characters I enjoyed reading and made me smile. The ones that came to my mind first.
Shannah’s (the host) blog link here for you to check out.
Maddie – A Scott Ties The Knot by Tessa Dare
I found Maddie really relatable as she was shy and awkward with any social situation but at the same time can hold her ground. For me, her character was lovable and some of her antics and the things she says made me smile and laugh.
Zuzana & Mik – Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor
When you have Zuzana you’ve got Mik so I’m counting it as two. I love this duo in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. They helped break the tension and brought a smile to Karou’s life as well as my own. I’m in love with Zuzana’s sassy attitude that makes me want to have a bestie like Zuzana.
Iko – Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Iko is Cinder’s closest friend and constantly made her laugh. I loved her energetic and bubbly persona. She was one of my favourite characters in Cinder.
Peik Lin Goh – Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
Okay, I haven’t actually read Crazy Rich Asians to know what the character is like in the book but Peik Lin’s character in the movie made me laugh so much despite me only having watched half of the movie this afternoon. Again, she’s so energetic and just says what comes to her mind.
Alrighty that’s it for the Top 5 this week! Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your top 5 funniest characters :).
Until next time…
Xx
Oh gosh yes, Zuzana is so funny! Love that girl.
Peik Lin isn’t as funny in the books as she is in the movie, but I really like what Awkwafina did with her. Definitely would still recommend the books–they’re a different sort of humor than the movie is, but I still enjoyed them a lot!

Yes I love Zuzana’s fire!
Ah okay that’s a bummer but it’ll be interesting to see the difference between the book and film x

Some of the characters in the book are way funnier than their movie counterparts, so don’t worry! Eddie is like peak cringe-humor. The narrator is so snarky. Oliver is sassy and hilarious. The older women are so catty. It is delightful.
