Top 5 (Tuesday)… Covers of 2019

Hey everyone! How are you?

Today I’ll be participating in Shannah’s – from Bionic Book Worm – Top 5 Tuesday. You can check her out here. Today’s Top 5 Tuesday is ‘covers of 2019’. I’ve always enjoyed reading her Top 5 Tuesday’s as well as other’s peoples posts so I thought I’d participate this month and give it a go. I missed the first Top 5 this month but that’s what made me want to try it. It was hard to narrow this down to only 5 covers as there are quite a lot of books released this year that were gorgeous. I must admit I’m a sucker for a good cover and low-key buy books depending on the cover!

I have read none of these books but they look good!

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

This is like the third time I’ve talked about Serpent & Dove and I’m not sorry. Again, I haven’t read this book but it is definitely high on the list for my next read.

I just love the colour combo of the gold and black. The gold is shiny and the black makes it pop so much. The serpent as the & symbol looks so intricate and how, subtly, in the background is the dove in all it’s glory. Honestly, if I had never heard of this book and just came across this I without a doubt would’ve grabbed this.

Wicked Fox by Kat Cho

Again, it’s the colour combination I love the most. All the shades of purple plus the font as well as the illustrations of the two main characters look beautiful.

This is the edition that arrived in the FairyLoot box for July. This edition comes with sprayed edges.

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal

This has such a serene feeling. The book is inspired by Ancient Arabia. It’s an enchanting cover that caught my eye from afar. I love the blue and just adore the moon.

With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo

A captivating cover and I love everything about it! In summary this book is about Emoni Santiago who is a teen mum and loves to cook. This is her journey with finding herself again through her passion in her senior year of high school.

Another book I have yet to read but this sounds so good and can’t wait to read.

The Binding by Bridget Collins

Now this book is one of my favourite covers plus the spine on the book is so beautiful! I’ve never seen a book with this spine and it gives it such a classic feel. Intrigued to see how this book is.

Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed this post and check out her blog! What’s your favourite 2019 covers?

Unitl next time…
