Double Bellabox (April + May)

Hey guys! How are you?

I’m back with another Bellabox. This time I am actually going to show you two boxes. The April box as well as May. I’m sorry this took way longer than I initially planned. My box for this month has just arrived, that’s how late I am on this! Plus I haven’t been feeling well (still not 100%). As there’s two boxes I probably won’t go into too much detail about each product. This is a monthly subscription that I pay for with my own money.

April box is called #NoFilter

Steve Laurant – Precision Tip Liner

The Steve Laurent Precision Tip Liner has really nice packaging (love the colour!) and the RRP is $33.87. I don’t know much about the brand but I wouldn’t normally spend a bit over $30 for an eye liner. I still haven’t gotten the knack for doing eye liner so I tried it on the back of my hand and it was a nice, simple, thin black line. For me, it didn’t smudge and seemed nice quality.

Again, I’m not a make-up expert or anything like that.

Kawaii – Brush Cleansing Egg

I’ve never seen this before but when I looked it up it seems as though it’s been around for a few years. I’m not the best at cleaning my brushes. I forget, to be honest I’m lazy, and I know I should definitely be doing it more often as I’m aware it’s not good for your skin. I was intrigued when this arrived as it’s perfect to get me into a make-up brush cleaning routine and make it easier.

The directions to use this (which says on the card in the box describing each product) is to: ‘lather it up with soap or shampoo (or your product of choice) to wash away product build-up’. The egg is silicone and on the back the top has smaller circles and the bottom half has bigger grooves. This way for your smaller brushes you can use the smaller circles as I’d imagine it’d make it easier to work out all the old make-up. I’m looking forwarding to trying this and I’ve heard good stuff on it.

The price is $11

The Humble Co. – Humble Toothbrush

I love this idea and was excited to try this out. This is a bamboo toothbrush that has a handle that’s 100% biodegradable. When you’re finished using this toothbrush it says the bamboo can be disposed int the compost bin and the bristles (made out of nylon-6) are put in the recycle. Even the packaging is made out from recycled paper. The product is vegan, cruelty-free FDA registered.

The Humble Co. are all about eco-friendly products and each purchase goes towards funding projects to help children. The Smile Foundation is a non-profit organization in Sweden.

I’ve never even heard of this organisation before which is why I’ve really enjoyed this subscription as I’ve discovered new products that I didn’t even know existed. I’ve been using this toothbrush for a few weeks now and is still going good. Obviously it had a slight change in taste as it’s bamboo in your mouth but it’s faint and you quickly get used to it. The price is $5.99.

OGX – Frizz-Defy/Moisture + Shea Soft & Smooth shampoo and Conditioner

I always enjoy trying out new shampoo and conditioners (sorry the photo is not clear). I tried these right when I first got the box in April. I can’t really remember how it was, I’m sure I’d remember if I had a complaint but nothing springs to my mind so I’m guessing it was nice. These samples were the bonus in the box.

Patchology – Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels

These eye gels are aimed to help tired eyes through a combination formula of caffeine and hydrolyzed collagen (I say this but not quite sure what it is. Okay looked it up and says it pretty much benefits your skin). It’s supposed to help de-puff your eyes, hydrate and soothe. I feel like I’m always left feeling refreshed with eye gels. They’re easy to use and relaxing.

The price for these are $4.22

Enbacci – Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Scrub

Immediately when trying this I loved the feel of this. It made me think as if I had a small handful of sand and was massaging it into my cheeks. The texture was smooth. I’ve only tried it once so definitely want to give it another go. This sample size is 10mL but the full sized product is 75mL and is $45.

May box is called Cutting Edge Beauty

QV – Intensive Moisturising Cleanser

This is a cleanser that is targeted towards for extremely dry skin. I feel like my skin is a mixture between oily and dry patches. Whenever I use cleansers and face exfoliators/scrubs I’m normally in the shower. After I used this cleanser I felt like it made me skin dry which is odd as it’s supposed to help dry skin, it’s not too bad after doing an exfoliator afterwards but on it’s own it’s not my favourite.

The price for full size is $16.30

Natures Commonscents – Natural Paw Paw Body Wash

I have not tried this out yet. It sounds like a nice one so I’m interested to see how this feels on my skin. This was the bonus sample in May’s box.

Stylondon – Hydrating Mousse Matte Lipstick

We were given the option of a couple of shades and I chose the shade Rosewood. It is very smooth to put on and a nice, subtle colour. Every hour or so I would do touch ups. I like the colour, packaging is pretty cool and it’s lightweight as the packaging is plastic. The price is $15.

Inecto Naturals – Argan Hair Mask

This is a decent size product in this month’s box. I was surprised it included the full size. The scent of the hair mask is kinda neutral, it has a slight floral scent but other than that not a lot. It just smells like a plain lotion.

The packaging is recyclable, not tested on animals and vegan friendly

The product costs $6.99

Solinotes – Roll on Rose Eau de Toilette

I love the packaging of this roll on. It’s simple with pink writing and it’s not overdone. The scent is a sweet floral and is a combination of Bergamot, Lychee, Rose, Magnolia and a bit of Cedarwood. I love roll-ons as you can put them in your bag to take them with you.

The price for the roll-on is $10.

La Roche-Posay – Effaclar Duo

This is a product that I have not tried yet. It says on the information sheet that it’s for clogged pores, and acne-prone skin. As I haven’t tried it I don’t know how a lot about it. The full sized product is 40ml (sample size is 15ml) and costs $29.99.

Well that’s April and May’s Bellaboxes. I hope the post for this month’s post would be up as late as these. Hope you all enjoyed this post
