February 2019 Bellabox + Review

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a grand day 🙂

I’m back with another Bellabox post and I know I’m behind on this. This should’ve been posted while ago. I’ll get straight to the point, I was really happy with what arrived in my subscription box this month. It had a nice variety of products. This box included products for hair and face.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Firming Lotion

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Anti-Oxidant Firming Lotion

I really enjoyed using this product. I used it everytime after cleansing and exfoliating. All I did was rub in the lotion in circular motions and once it soaked into my face I found that it made my skin smooth. I’ll admit at times even though smooth it’s felt a bit dry.

Neutrogena Cleaning Towelettes

Neutrogena – Make-up Remover (cleansing towelettes)

Make-up wipes are always nice to have and can’t go wrong with having an extra packet. They are a nice, travel size to put in a bag. I tried these wipes after wearing a full face of make-up and was quite pleased with results. They worked well but did leave some mascara behind.

Eye Majic Instant Eyeshadow

Eye Majic – Instant eye shadow

I wasn’t too sure about this. I’ll admit I had this product ages ago, I don’t know how (maybe it was a gift or extra when buying something), but I never used it so I ended up donating it. This time I decided to try it out.

Okay it was easy to apply and the instructions were simple. What I didn’t love was how it can get quite smudgy, especially the black area at the bottom. Granted the shimmer eye shadow at the top was pretty but I’m not completely sold. I don’t know, maybe I didn’t have the right technique to apply it properly. If I’m being honest I wouldn’t buy this.

Swisse Argan Facial Moisturiser

Swisse – Argan Oil Facial Moisturiser

Firstly, I’m impressed with the size of this product, it’s the proper size you’d buy in store. The moisturiser is thick so I only needed to use a tiny bit otherwise it’d feel heavy. As it was thick it took a while to soak into my skin. It really did feel like it hydrated my skin and stay on my skin for a significant amount of time. Due to the Argan oil it helps with dry skin.

Tarte Lip Paint

Tarte – Tarteist Lip Paint

When I opened the box and saw this lying there I got so excited to use this product. I’d never owned a Tarte product before, or really any brands that you don’t find in Priceline.

I can honestly say I was in a second obsessed with the colour. It’s like a burgundy shade, a colour I’d definitely pick in the shops. As it is a matte lip it dried almost instantly so I had to make sure I applied it correctly the first time haha. It was like it stuck to the skin. With it being my first time trying a matte lip I wasn’t used to the dryness so I’m not too sure what I could put over it to make it softer or less dry.

I’m pleased to say it survived multiple cups of tea and coffee plus eating. I was amazed it didn’t smudge or leave marks on the cups. After an hour or two I did have to reapply a bit cause it cracked but just a quick touch up and it’s good as new.

When taking off the lipstick I found that it did stain the lips, which is what I thought might happen, so it took a bit of effort to remove it completely. I love this lip and definitely will add to my collection and use again.

Maui Moisture Thicken & Restore + Bamboo Fiber Shampoo & Conditioner

Each box comes with a bonus. This month’s box was the Maui shampoo and conditioner. It came in a nice packaged sample packet. As it was a sample it was only good for one shower.

The fragrance was pleasant and light, nothing too strong. Once dry my hair felt soft, healthy and light (which is weird as it’s supposed to thicken) but I was overall pleased with the results. I’m not too sure what the retail price is but if I see this in store I would definitely consider picking it up.

There’s no picture as I forgot to take a photo of the product and ended up using it then chucking it out (whoops!)

I really enjoyed these products this month and happy to keep using them.

Thank you for reading and hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Until next time…

Xx
