January 2019 BellaBox + Review

Hey everyone, hope you’re all having a good day!

Today it’s all about January’s BellaBox, first box for 2019. I did one for December and I think it went down well so I’m doing a reflection on January’s. I really loved seeing all the different products. I’m late on this and was hoping to have this done earlier but it’s here now 🙂

This is my second Bellabox and I was excited to see what goodies I’ll receive. Throughout the month I tried out these products and I was happy with the results. I absolutely love trying these samples out. *Not sponsored*

Bioderma – Make-up removing micelle solution

I’ve never heard of this brand before but I always love finding a new make-up remover. I’ve only used this once or twice and it does a decent job. It doesn’t top any of my make-up removers I own already. It’s a good product though. For me, it wiped away pretty much all of my make-up after two wipes.

Nerium – Face Mask

I’m always up for a face mask, so it’s safe to say that I was excited to try this out. I found that this mask was really nice. It felt like it hydrated and refreshed my skin, and like always, after my mask, a light moisturiser over my face to finish it off.

Coco & Eve – Like A Virgin Hair Masque

Now this is one of my favourite items in the box. I’ve never seen this brand before but I am absolutely in love with the packaging! It’s a coconut and fig hair masque. I was confused at first on how to use this as the hair masks I’ve used in the past it instructs me to use it before having a shower and leaving it on for 20 minutes before rinsing. This masque instructs you to to shampoo then distribute throughout towel dried hair, leave it in for 5-10 minutes then rinse out. It was kind of a nuisance to have to dry my hair after the shower just to get it wet. I do prefer the flow of putting on a hair mask first then rinse it out in the shower but I did it anyway and was pleased with the results. I noticed my hair felt lighter, soft and had a delicate scent.

It would be a product that I would buy again, however, when I looked at prices for a full sized it product it averaged $50-$70. Wow. I love this product but not too sure if I’ll go out and buy it. Maybe if I can find it cheaper somewhere.

Chella – Ivory Lace Highlighter Crayon

I’ve never tried a crayon highlighter before. It did a decent job. It didn’t have me looking in the mirror and say “Wow!”. You could see a subtle highlight but it wasn’t full-on, blinding highlight. It’s a nice subtle shimmer that catches the light. Subtle with a bit of pop.

Luxurious Volume

I never really looked into products that could increase my hair volume. I don’t have the thickest hair but it’s not thin either. When wet it can be quite heavy. It wouldn’t be something I’d pick up for myself. You apply it to your hair whilst in the shower. It lasts for a bit over 3 shampoos despite it saying 7 day.

I don’t have a blow-dryer but after letting my hair dry for a while and brushing I did notice it seemed fuller. Not sure if I’d purchase it, as I said not really looking into something to make my hair thicker. But if any of you are it wouldn’t hurt to check it out, a full product size costs about $17.

Hello Fresh

This is a company that pops up a lot. I haven’t used it yet (sooo hopefully it’s still valid). I don’t know a whole lot about this. It’d be cool to check out and try but I thought it was nice that they added this in this month’s Bellabox.

So that was what came in my January Bellabox subscription. Lots of nice goodies, a bit of everything. I’m looking forward to see what comes in next month’s box.

Until next time…

  1. I love trying out new face masks too. I have a few clay masks waiting for me to tryout. I have recently discovered to wonders of hair masks. I have always seen then in the stores but never tried then. My daughter recieved a hair mask pot from the body shop, so i tried it out and i loved the results. Like a face mask i try to do a hair mask too once a week. We gotta promote self love ❤
