December 23rd: My Furry Friends (their stories)

Hey guys, hope you’re all having a lovely day!

With Christmas just around the corner you think and cherish about what you have. Now I love all animals and I wanna talk about my two furry friends who play a very important part in my life. I may have only mentioned this once or twice but I have two cats; Prada and Charlie. Not only is it nice to have a pet but cats (and dogs) are great for so many other reasons. I’ve read that they’re great for therapy and calming, which for me is what I love. This year there has been a lot of ups and a lot of downs. No matter how I’m feeling throughout the day they never fail to put a smile on my face and I call that magic.

Prada came into our family when I was 9 years old. We found her at the RSPCA when she was 10 months old. I don’t know what breed she is as it did not state on her information but she is gorgeous. She immediately came to us and when we had a trial in a separate room with her, to see how she interacts with us, it didn’t take long for her and sat on my mum’s lap. We knew she was perfect for our family. The RSPCA desexed her, microchipped and made sure she was all up to date on her vaccinations before we saw her again.

We didn’t choose the name Prada, it was already allocated to her and didn’t find any faults in the name to change. Her name is a great insight to her personality. She loves to sleep in the wardrobe with everyone’s shoes and is a total princess. She is one where you let her come to you instead of forcing her into hugs an if she does she lets you pat for like a minute before letting you know that’s enough. She’s one of those cats who you know loves you as she does little things to stay close to you but doesn’t want to show it openly. She loves to supervise when I’m in the kitchen cooking, watching me just in case.

“Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms.”

– George Eliot

Charlie is a beautiful ginger boy. He was my surprise present on my 17th birthday, and as I’ve just had my 19th birthday earlier this month, he’s officially been apart of the family for three years. My parents found through Tiny Tails Rescue adoption, through a family friend. Unlike Prada being nearly 1 years old, Charlie was 12 weeks old. Nevertheless, he still was microchipped, desexed and made sure he was up to date on all his vaccinations.

Charlie is more of my cat while Prada is the family cat. When I’m going through one of my down days I find that I seek comfort from him. His personality is one that he loves to constantly be around you and takes comfort in knowing your close by. When I’m wrapping up my Christmas present he loves to help. When I’m watching a movie on the couch he loves to snuggle up with me.

He’s always up for a cuddle and a kiss any time of the day. He’s a boy who loves his food and pats. They both make such a big impact in my life that c’mon I had to at least write one post about them.

Today’s advent present is another delicious Freddo!

I know a completely random post but they’re a big part of my life. For everyone who has a pet they would understand. Christmas Eve tomorrow! Back with a more Christmassy one tomorrow. Cya guys then.

Until next time…
