Book Haul | November 2018

Hey guys, how are you?

I can’t believe I haven’t done one of these yet with the number of books I buy and own. Honestly, I feel like I’m pushing nearly 300?! I’m not even joking. When I spot a book that screams out to me, my fingers instantly reach outwards, like I have no control over them. I feel giddy and so happy that I have to buy it. It feels me with a warmth that I can’t explain.

I’m going to do my first book haul on my blog (first of many!).

I didn’t plan on buying anything but the shelves at Savers were calling to me and held books that I’ve been waiting for or books that I didn’t even know I needed. And at the price of books at Savers-around $4 each- I couldn’t say no to that bargain.

Here are the books I’ve welcomed onto my shelf and into my life:

Signs Point to Yes by Sandy Hall seems like such a cozy read. I’ve read A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall which made me fall in love with her writing and story-telling. The realness of an awkward first relationship as well as adorable characters that had me smiling all throughout the story.  I’m looking forward to feeling the same way with this novel. If it was anything like her first novel then I love it already.

*As I’ve been writing this post I actually finished this book. Under two days.*

Next is a series called The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter. This is a twist on the Greek myths with some romance. I love reading about mythology. This series follows the protagonist Kate, who is desperate to save her mother’s life, and along the way meets Henry who is also known as Hades, God of the Underworld. I’m excited to read this to see if it lives up to my expectations. I’ve been on the hunt for this series for years so I’m happy to finally add these to my shelves (and my every growing To Read list)

Publisher: Harlequin Teen

Age: Young Adult

Cover design: Romina Panetta

*Reading now*

Eve Trilogy by Anna Carey is a series I’ve never come across before. It’s a Dystopian Fiction, where a deadly virus has plagued the Earth and 18-year old Eve is going to get to the bottom of this. I don’t know a lot about this but the covers look beautiful and the story plot sounds intriguing. I’m getting Divergent vibes crossed with Hunger Games.

Publisher: Harper Teen

Age: Young Adult

Cover design: Elizabeth H. Clark

These are the books I’ve added to my collection and looking forward to reading them all! I haven’t done a big haul like this in a while. It felt good. I had no regrets walking around the store with a basket full of books 🙂

Until next time…
